Easy parking in tight spaces
KA+ is compact and agile enough to fit into tight city parking spots. With optional Rear Parking Sensors, you can park with confidence. They detect when you’re too close to an object and show a visual alert on the centre console along with an audible warning. Hassle free, bump-free parking!
Make journeys more relaxing
The KA+ features both Cruise Control and Speed Limiter. Use the steering wheel Cruise Controls to set a speed you’re comfortable with and the KA+ will maintain that speed without you having to keep your foot on the accelerator. If you need to go faster or slow down, then using the accelerator or brake as usual will override Cruise Control. The speed limiter is especially useful for driving in urban areas helping you to stay within the legal limit and is easy to adjust as the speed limit changes. (Cruise Control is standard on Zetec only)
Hill starts made easy
Hill Start Assist uses the brake system to stop the KA+ from rolling back when you’re setting off on a hill. When active, the KA+ remains stationary for between 2-3 seconds after the brake is released. This gives you enough time to move your foot to the accelerator, helping to make it easier and safer to pull away on a tricky hill especially if there are vehicles parked behind you.
Make light work of manoeuvring
Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) adjusts automatically to provide easier, lighter steering when you’re parking, and firmer steering for more control when driving on motorways. Unlike conventional power-assisted steering (which operates continuously and uses more energy and fuel), our EPAS only operates when needed, further improving fuel economy.
Greater visibility, day or night
Thanks to clever design, the KA+ becomes even more noticeable. The fog light housing also contains Daytime Running Lights helping you to stand out whether it’s day or night, foggy or clear.

A new engine to look after your fuel
Powering the KA+ is a responsive and economical four cylinder 1.2 litre Ti-VCT petrol engine. It’s available with two power outputs, 70PS or 85PS, and a five-speed manual gearbox. Fuel economy is superb, and CO2 emissions as low as 110g/km on 85PS.
Save money when you change gear
The KA+ comes with a gear shift indicator on the instrument panel that tells you the best moment to change gear. This helps keep your revs lower, improving fuel efficiency and helping you go further for less cost.

The Ford SYNC system lets you control your music and make and receive calls on your mobile with simple voice commands. It will read out texts for you, play songs from a USB stick and can stream music from a Bluetooth®*-compatible mobile phone. And with its AppLink feature, you can enjoy voice control of popular Apps for Android and iOS. It’s almost like having a personal assistant with you, even if you’re driving alone. KA+ comes with a choice of audio systems. The standard Ford Stereo includes a stereo radio, USB connector so you can play music from your smartphone, a secure device dock and Bluetooth connectivity.

MyKey lets you tailor car settings to suit individual drivers. Ford SYNC, for instance, features Emergency Assistance that will automatically call Emergency Services for you in case of an accident.

Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance*
In the event of an accident where the airbag is deployed or the fuel-pump deactivated, the technology can place a call with the Emergency Services for you. You can choose to stop the call, or talk to those services if you need to. Crucially, the system supplies vital information, such as your GPS coordinates, even if you are unconscious.

*Ford Emergency Assistance is an innovative SYNC feature that uses a Bluetooth® -paired and connected mobile phone to help vehicle occupants initiate a direct call to the local Communications Centre, following a vehicle crash event involving an airbag deployment or fuel pump shut off. The feature operates in more than 40 European countries and regions.
All-round protection
In addition to the driver and passenger front airbags, there are side airbags with thorax protection and curtain airbags with head protection.
Emergency Brake Warning Lights
If you need to perform emergency braking then the hazard warning lights will automatically switch on and the brake lights will flash. The combination of these two things warn following drivers of a potentially hazardous situation.
Smart Security Systems
The KA+ comes with remote control door locks and a Thatcham-approved 3 star security system. This includes a perimeter alarm and a double deadlock system. With double deadlocks the doors cannot be opened from the inside even if someone’s attempted entry by breaking a side window.
Keep control at all times
Traction Control helps to prevent wheel slippage (or “over-spinning”) when driving on slippery surfaces. Traction control is especially effective when you need to accelerate from a stopped position, slow speed or when climbing up hill. It makes driving smoother, helping you stay in control of the KA+ on icy roads and during wet weather.
